Whether formal writing examination is a good way to assess students learning?
One of the most conspicuous trends of today's world is the colossal upsurge in the use of formal writing. There is a widespread worry that this will only lead to a myriad of concerns in the learning method. In my opinion, formal writing has more negative imapacts than positives on student.
On the one hand, critics may point out that one of the most significant benefits of formal writing is the easy way to express good writing. For example, students, unlike in the past, they have many error in writing section, but now they have improve by this method.
On the other hand, there are a number of arguments in favor of my stance. One of the most preponderant ones is that formal writing has negative consequences for student in various ways. Firstly, student are losing concept on writing because new method have ruining the way of natural concept of writing, such as in school and college writing contest. According to "The Hindu December 2018 edition", the proportion of Indian student in school and university sector has dropped from 10 per cents to 2 per cents today. Secondly, a large portion of student has lost their enthusisam and energy because of technological dependency and is increasingly being lazier and less efficient.
Lastly, in my opinion, the government of India is taking a great initiative in educating its citizens against the negative impacts of formal writing. Citizens are being encouraged to spend significant portion of their time in tradition method of writing, in order to compensate for wrong impact of writing.
In view of the arguments outlined above, one can conclude that despite having some benefits, the drawbacks of formal writing on student are indeed too dire to ignore.
